Ocean Best Practices publish, discover and provide access to relevant and tested methods, from observation to application, as well as a foundation for increasing capacity. The Ocean Best Practice System supports the entire ocean community in sharing methods, developing best practices and capacity development in their use.
Ocean Practices: OBPS Workshop VI is a global, virtual meeting designed to guide the development of best practices and operating practices, to promote their documentation, and to share them widely using the Ocean Best Practices System.
The Ocean Best Practice System is looking for passionate ECOPs to speak (10 min) on best ocean practices on the following topics (listed below) for the theme sessions during October 2022, at the upcoming Workshop VI.

13. Marine Biodiversity
14. Operational Forecasting
15. Organisational Co-operation
16. Policy and Best Practices
17. Seagrass Monitoring
18. Time Series Observations and Downstream Data Management
Plenaries will take place on 5 and 19 October (each three hours long and covering 2 different time zones), with theme sessions taking place between the Plenaries (6 – 18 October), at times of their own choosing. Theme Sessions may cover any subject relating to ocean best practices and can be one hour or longer, on multiple days, as planned by the proposed session lead.
