Breaking the Stalemate: The Role of Ocean Literacy in Catalysing Progress on SDG 14 and Beyond

Amid the current challenges of ocean degradation, increasingly unpredictable ocean-climate changes, and potential biodiversity collapse, the IOI and other knowledge-based institutions must examine how they can contribute to effective solutions. The seminar aims to highlight the significant impact of ocean literacy on fostering responsible and effective ocean governance practices among stakeholders, policymakers, educators, and the public, to prioritize ocean literacy.
