Cascading Climate Impacts across Geographical Boundaries

Mark your calendar for the third SRI Inkundla, Cascading Climate Impacts across Geographical Boundaries. This free virtual pre-Congress event, which will take the form of a social simulation, will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm SAST on April 21, 2022 (view your local time).

Together with the Centre for Systems Solutions, this SRI Inkundla will present an interactive social simulation with a focus on cascading climate impacts. We will explore the effects of these climate impacts on food production, supply chains, and ultimately the consequences on climate mitigation, biodiversity, and health. Social simulations will combine challenges, immersion, emotions, and learning-by-doing in a safe environment, and participants will explore real-world stories and research through a simulation game. This simulation will be relevant for a broad audience including policy makers, business leaders, researchers, and students.
