Exploring Ocean Mysteries: From Dynamic Shores to the Deep Sea Workshop

The Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, in collaboration with Engaging Every Student, created 17 educational lesson plans for grades 5-8 (adaptable for grades 4-12) and supporting resources to promote ocean literacy. Even though the ocean covers 71% of the Earth’s surface and life on Earth evolved in and depends on it, learning about the ocean is often neglected in schools. The National Geographic Society and National Marine Sanctuary Foundation funded this project.
